I’m finally buying myself a Center Channel speaker for my Bday and suddenly i wonder about my XBO sound configuration… The options are simular and confusing for unsophisticated me, care to help? A. 5.1/7.1 uncompressed B. Dolby Digital C. DTS/X These seem to me the best alternatives to enjoy my speakers layout but i ask myself where i will get the best sound experience Thank you for your input. PS: For the time being, i only play Division 2 - BlueMeanie59 - and nothing else. Short term (D2) and long term (everything else or default settings) will be considered. Thank you guys. How many speakers will you have when you get your center channel? I’d go uncompressed 5.1/7.1 myself. But this depends on what type of cable you are using. If optical, go Dolby Digital. If using HDMI, definitely uncompressed 5.1/7.1. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

It does make a lot of sense going straight uncompressed. Center speaker arrived yesterday and still has to be configured with the rest of the others. Using HDMI and finally updating/upgrading since my last amp, bought in 2001. Happy birthday to me! 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20
