I don’t have much to go on, only saw it once. Most likely early 90’s. The music video was mostly or entirely CGI, early 90’s Blender style landscapes and 3D shapes. Not sure why it popped in my mind, but now I need to know.

Do you have a genre? That may help.

My guess is Polkadot Cadaver - Pure Bedlam For Halfbreeds. Big Grin

I wish I could, the music wasn’t as interesting as the lame CGI animations. It wasn’t rock, metal, rap, and probably not any form of techno. My googling only returned someone asking the same question years ago on Reddit with no reply.

That's a good point. Big Grin

I think that was the #1 video for like 3 years in a row so I don't think anyone would have mistaken or forgotten it. Unless you were born after 1988.

Voshterkoff, are you under 33 years old? Wink

To be fair, I’m not sure when it was made, just judging by the animation. It well could have been earlier. As I recall it was just abstract landscapes and shapes. Think early 3D card tests and demos. I was born in ‘88 so I’m safe! Right?

How about we just throw some things out and you say yes or no?

Was it the Animusic series? Starship Groove is my favorite one.

Edit - I didn't see that sigmonkey already posted that. Big Grin

Way more basic, and I don’t recall anything humanoid being featured.

Were you on any hallucinogens at the time?
This will definitely change the results if so. Razz

*I see now you mentioned born in '88, so not likely high. Then again, I knew some kids that started bashing brain cells mighty early...

I don’t know what a “Blender style landscape” is, and the music video I’m thinking of pre-dates the early 90s, but Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer?

Blender style landscape

It is a landscape made digitally by Blender Software, utoob has plenty of help reference videos.

They use real singers or actors on green screen who are then put into the digital background..
