Yet Another Star Wars Series
Skeleton Crew

At least it has Jude Law. Acolyte was unwatchable; the only good thing about that one was that it did NOT get renewed for another season. This one looks like Star Wars meets Goonies or Stranger Things.

:: sigh :: I'll watch episode 1, and it better make me feel fuzzy inside.

I wouldn’t give Disney a drop of piss, let alone a red cent of mine. Razz

Woke/DEI is off the charts. It’s already been leaked that the profits of the new Deadpool movie are all being directed towards “the message”. The sooner everyone cancels this company, completely, lets their stock to record low levels, the better.

I was 11 when Star Wars came out in 1977. It was a great movie series when I was growing up. The prequels were ok but I really hated all the cgi. But now KK has made Star Wars gay and shitty. Disney burned it to the ground as far as I’m concerned. I have zero interest in any of it now.

The only thing I want to see is Season 2 of Andor.

It would be ironic if a Star Wars series about a bunch of children was actually interesting to an adult audience.

The age of the characters doesn't matter as much as the writing and acting. There are plenty of examples of shows featuring primarily younger main characters that adults like too.

Even within the Star Wars universe, Rebels was mainly about kids/teenagers (and geared towards a younger audience), but past early Season 1 it was interesting to adult audiences.

Clone Wars was similarly geared towards a younger audience, but ended up having some truly excellent story arcs and character moments, and for the most part is well loved by Star Wars fans of all ages.

"Four ordinary kids search for their home planet after getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy."

That's the description for it. Roll Eyes They might as well have called it: Star Wars - The No Hope

My 6 year old knows a different Star Wars than I know. His favorite Jedi is Qui-Gon Jinn and he always picks Episode 1. He doesn't mind Jar Jar.

I was going to kick the little guy out of the house, but he also loves Rocky 1-4 and Top Gun and Maverick. He wants to watch Deadpool, but I haven't given in to that yet.

Yep, I have been a hardcore Star Wars fan since I was 11 in 1977. But I cancelled Disney and Hulu a few years ago due to their garbage. I still have ESPN+ for football, basketball, and NHL games.

I don’t know about Goonies (haven't seen it), but I got a real ET vibe. I mean Hispanic Elliot rides his BMX speeder around the subdivision, through the woods, crashes in a gully, and finds a buried starship. Then Hispanic Elliot and his adorable alien friend accidentally launch said starship and all they want to to is go home. There’s a John Hughes reference and a couple of Star Trek ones as well, ‘cause nothing says Star Wars like John Hughes and Star Trek, except maybe Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek.

As a testament to how much they have ruined Star Wars... I dont even give a shit at all. Haven't read about it. Don't know what its about. Not angry about it anymore. Just do not care in the least.

And this is a life long fan who has seen every single movie on opening night, including the Clone Wars animated movie release. I have tons of expensive Star Wars statues and lightsabers and blasters in display cases and on my walls in my office.

Its dead, Jim. And I couldn't care less.

Disney has diluted the entire Star Wars universe into oblivion with these neverending spinoffs.

I remember when Star Wars used to be a special thing and people would get excited about a new movie coming, now everyone reacts with a collective yawn.

Now that they’ve got their hooks into Doctor Who they are busy ruining that franchise as well.

Two episodes in. It’s nowhere near as bad as The Acolyte. We’ll see how it goes. My kids are entertained. I would say this is another series geared towards a younger audience.
