Didn’t know what to expect just reading the title and found myself watching another (flemish) belgian series. Must say that they’re well done if you are familiar with the belgian culture. Not the first one we watch. Synopsis: an old very traditional and religious jasidic diamond traders family is involved, unwillingly with smuggling, albanese mobsters and drug trafficking. Religion and tradition weighs heavily on every move they make and gossip makes every twist a new shitstorm. Good enough for me. Learned a lot about the orthodox community. AFAIK, the three most important jewish communities of that type exist that outside Israel are NYC, Antwerp(en) and my home town, Buenos Aires. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

My wife and I are half-way through it. We like it, a solid show. We're Jewish but FAR from orthodox. I find my 4 years of HS German still allows me to follow almost half of the Yiddush. Update: Just finished it. Very well done, produced, and acted. With a mostly realistic ending. But...it dragged, could have been 6 episodes vs. 8. Still, recommended if you can handle the captioning. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Batty67,
