Started Ember. It's starting out much better than Dempsey (thankfully). There are a lot of threads and characters spinning up, and it looks to be interesting to see how they weave together.

Oh, and the authors, Andrews & Wilson, authored the latest book in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan universe. It is, to my understanding, a direct sequel to The Hunt For Red October. They're scheduled to write the next in the series, as well.
