I've been waiting a long damned time for this. Let's fucking go!

Motherfuckers at local Gamestop fucked up my pre-order. Now all I have is the "digital" copy and no option for getting the actual discs that I wanted without paying twice. Oh, I did get the kinda OK looking bandit mask thrown in...yay.

I'll get over it, but fml and this game for a while.

Seems I spoke too soon. I'm having sound issues during the character select into the intro scene. There seems to be a fix but turns out I'm also having issues with my Logitech software recognizing my Logitech headphones all of a sudden. I was surprised, since I haven't had any issues with my headphones before this game and it only affects this game.

I'll probably pick it up at some point. I don't get a ton of gaming time so I find myself usually only playing 1 or 2 games at a time.

If I catch it on sale tho I'll probably scoop it up. I do love me some Clap Trap!

I’ve been playing for a few days, having fixed my sound issue. It’s…interesting. Sometimes it feels underpopulated with enemies and then you run into a bunch all at once. The Wardens really get me sometimes because I’m not thinking of aerial attackers. I’m glad the old radar is still available, though.

I also realize it’s a design philosophy to make finding legendaries more rewarding by limiting their drop rate, but I haven’t seen one, yet. I do have all the keys to a vault, though. Hopefully, something really good will drop there.

I tried it last night for about four minutes. Yes it's a new game, but damn, at least let me start without getting snuffed that quick.

*sigh* Money has been spent though...

Got my first legendary today at level 15 or 16 I guess...from a vending machine.

It is a shield with armor bars that also (supposedly) refills your gun under some circumstances.

The game is beautiful to look at, and some of the purple and even blue guns/gadgets are satisfying.

But the new UI for the inventory etc. is goofy to me, and not having my weapons tied to my four-way switch on my controller is REALLY fucking with me. Sixteen years of practice with one system can't just be chucked out the window successfully.

Orguss, I'm really not intending to dump on your thread. The hope is that I can get used to the changes and the game gets fun soon, but for now I'm spending a lot of time wanting to saw my controller in half.

Your points are all valid and relate to the topic, so don’t apologize! I’m just jealous cuz my PC doesn’t meet minimum requirements, so all my video settings are mostly set to “low.” The clouds are completely off by default. Frown This is the first game to tax my setup. Even with Cyberpunk 2077 I still get 40+ fps with nearly all settings maxed.

I’m enjoying the game but your point about the inventory system and inventory management is well made. It’s horrendous. Sort set to Manufacturer by default?? Are you kidding?

Oh - and I’d also appreciate some gun vending machines before Boss fights.

Well.. peaks my interest even more. I've got a pretty solid rig I built this year with a 5080 & 9800X3D CPU. So something that will stress test it grabs my attention. I play Star Citizen on high / photo mode. Something else that looks amazing will be neat!

I've got a six year old PC equipped with a water-cooled 2080 Ti RTX Founder's Edition. That's the reason why it's held up so well over these past couple of years. Borderlands' minimum requirement is a 2070. Most games' minimums are non-RTX cards.

TL/DR: Game is fun now.

Much better game in the last few days. Finally managed to get some good gear and leveled up enough to have decent perks. Along the way I'm making fewer mistakes with the console controller.

All of that means it feels totally different from when I started. Guess I've forgotten what being brand new was like. It's been six years, and most of that time was end game replay, so the struggle was real.
