Being a history buff for some time now I have been subscribed to the YouTube channel The History Guy who has had some truly entertaining lessons about history and how it has shaped the world we live in. The videos have ranged from quirky events to deeply inspiring moments that will often remind me that on our worst days it is possible to be at our best. I am linking one such video about a man who saved many lives one day in the waters off the beach of a small Pacific island and I am placing the video here because of who the man was. https://youtu.be/hZpJJYbf1ms Laughing in the face of danger is all well and good until danger laughs back.

Great story, thanks for posting it. I watched that show and can still rattle off the theme song. Donald Trump is not a politician, he is a leader, politicians are a dime a dozen, leaders are priceless.

Staring back from the abyss |
What a guy! What is kind of sad about that story is that for his actions and unbelievable bravery and courage under fire, he received the same medal as Jessica Lynch who did essentially nothing to earn it. Eddie Albert deserved the Medal of Honor for what he did. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.
