Hi guys. Hope all is going ok with you all. Quick question pls. Can you recommend a decent trail camera ? I’ve got neighbor probs again and my doorbell cam is obscured by foliage so i cant get a good look. I see they seem to go from 30.00 on up. I dont want to spend alot by want something with good resolution. I would like something to alert me via wifi, I guess, to let me know someone’s approaching. What should i be looking for, and what can i expect to pay? Thanks all.

Wrong tool for the job. You'd find out someone's approaching minutes to maybe hours after they already had.

^^^ Yeah, game cameras are fairly slow at transmitting that data. I have upper end Moultrie Edges that I really like, but it takes them several minutes to let me know something is up.

What I did is put up a motion sensor out on my mailbox post. It doesn't let me know who is coming down the driveway, just that someone is coming. And if I'm not home, my Ring doorbell works well (and quickly) enough that, if I need to, I can talk to them.

ETA: If you're just looking to see whether or not someone was on your property, and who that someone was, then I can recommend the Moultries...with the above caveats in mind.

Thanks cas, thanks Gustofer. I guess I’ll have to sacrifice the immediate advisory, which is no big deal I guess as my doorbell camera will do that. I guess I just need decent resolution in order to recognize faces. I’ll check out the Moultries.

who made your doorbell cam? and do they offer any other camera options?

I use ARLO in my shop and around the property, and they work great,
you can get wifi based, or ones with cell service,

I am alerted if anyone, including cats, racoons etc, come near the buildings,

I just put out two Tacticam 3.0 cameras, Reveal is the brand name also. They are about $109, give or take a tad. I just worked with a guy that likes Browning trail cameras better.

The Tacticam is known for ease of setup. I watched a few utube videos, put the app on my phone, set them up at home. I get pictures fairly often, every hour or so. One can adjust the send schedule.

The cost starts at $5 per month, per phone, 250 pictures. I quickly went to unlimited, after the 250 was reached. I added a lithium battery pack from Amazon, then a solar power pack on clearance from Tractor supply.

To save power & all I turned the video off, set the interval as long as allowed. In less than a week I have all kinds of pictures, deer, coyotes, raccoons.

It’s my first time with my own game cameras, working fine. The spot is a 2.5 hour drive from home.

Good afternoon Lyman, it’s a Nest camera. I’m going to check out their website to see if they’ve got something that may work. Thanks.
Sourdough, I’ll check out the Tacticam, but don’t care for a subscription though.

Around the house with WiFi, yes no need for a cell game camera. I have a $30 camera off the porch, works fine. I bought mine on Amazon, set the same up for my sister.
