In the heart of the night
In the cool Southern rain
There's a full moon in sight
Shining down on the Pontchartrain
And the river she rises
Just like she used to do
She's so full of surprises
She reminds me of you

Were you aware that it was the late Phil Hartman who designed the cover? Before he got into comedy he was a graphic artist. That cover art is regarded as one of the very finest images in the world of graphic artistry.

Phil Hartmans’ brother, John, was the manager of Poco.

This album was supposed to be the first album of the Cotton-Young Band, but ABC Records, who had dropped Poco, decided to release Legend as a Poco album. It’s a great album and all the music was written by either Paul Cotton or Rusty Young.

I didn't know that. Yes, nice work.

Man it's been a long time since I heard that one.

I haven’t heard this one in a while, thank you!

Still one of my favorite albums; just about every track is a classic.

I remember visiting a buddy at his school. His roommate had painted the entire wall of their dorm with the Legend album cover.

I saw Poco live once back in the 90s. It was them and John Prine at an outdoor venue. Great show.
