This just goes so hard, has to be one of the greatest lines in movie history. I just randomly think about this scene, these words. The look on Commodus face is priceless.

If you haven't already, check out the extended Director's Cut of Gladiator.

Unlike a number of other Ridley Scott Director's Cuts it doesn't necessarily "fix" any problems, mainly because there wasn't much to fix from the theatrical cut. It just adds a little bit more to the story, especially in further exploring the Emperor's brutality/depravity and his messy relationship with his sister.
