This was released on Steam yesterday. If you played Squad Leader/Advanced Squad Leader then you will recognize the game. Second Front (SF) has cleaned up some of the mechanics of the board game, but it still feels like you are playing a miniatures game based off SL/ASL. The developer of the game has been working on this for 20 years, and some of the graphics show, and some of the interface is dated. The soldiers and vehicles have a cartoon like appearance, but for a turn based game it doesn't take much away from the game, and on some maps the tone helps when trying to determine enemy locations in buildings for LOS and movement. The tutorials are worth going through since some of the mechanics need explaining.

Also the manual says they are still planning to add more features later, and the game is begging for additional nations to be added later. Right now it is just USA/Germany/Russia, much like the original Squad Leader.
