Black92LXSeason 1 and 2 were great. Season 3 was a little slow but good.

ffipsThe first 3 seasons are available on Netflix.
This thread has more critical reviews.
I enjoyed the series but began to struggle a bit during the 3rd season when it seemed like the writers decided to try going cerebral. It was almost as if "we're not quite sure how to fill an episode so we'll add multiple dream sequences," was their answer. I don't want to say much more to avoid spoilers. Some of the timeline jumps are important to catch.
I really enjoyed the period vehicles and guns.

I hate dream sequences in shows and films.

ffipsI am okay with them if they are necessary to the plot. I despise them when the writers try to make them artsy fartsy pulling in things that are "odd" just because it is a dream. I guess my dreams are very much like my waking hours so maybe I am the odd one. It just seems like dreams in movies or series are like some bizarre LSD trip where colors smear and people have horse heads or goat legs. My examples are not related to this series, but just dream sequences in general.

maxwayneI watched the final episode of Season 3 last night and thought the whole season was pretty good.

onegeekSeries is good. The books are better. At least the ones with Tony as the author; I haven’t read any since he died.
And there is an element of Navajo religion, including dreams. ‘From the Navajo perspective’ is the entire point of the stories.

maxwayneThe new season started last night. I liked the dream towards the end of the last season.

SigSACThere was a short series in the early 2000's with Wes Studi and Adam Beach as Leaphorn and Chee. I liked them, so I'll download the current series to watch while I'm on trip soon.

TheFrontRangeRequisite Gun-Nerd Alert: Noted that, in the new season, Chee appears to have moved to a 1911 as his sidearm, though he did appear to possibly be brandishing it “hammer-down” as tends to happen on-screen (with the caveat that I didn’t rewind the applicable scene(s) to confirm).
Regardless - enjoying the show and intend to get started on the book series that inspired it.
