What a beautiful song. I had not heard it in a long time until hearing it at the very end of the disturbing horror movie Hereditary lol.

It is still shocking to me that no one has done a hard core / heavy metal version of this song.

I think Dylan discovered Judy Collins in a coffee house in Florida. Not 100% on that but that song and her cover is excellent.

One of my fav songs of all time. Partial list of covers: Joni Mitchell (who wrote it) Judy Collins (first to record) Neil Diamond (my personal favorite after Collins) Frank Sinatra Bing Crosby Andy Williams Robert Goulet Engelbert Humperdinck Jim Nabors Paul Anka Anne Murray Doris Day Willie Nelson Glen Campbell Dolly Parton Roger Whittaker Pete Seeger (who added a 4th verse with permission) The Osmond Brothers Belinda Carlisle Susan Boyle Leonard Nimoy Herbie Hancock (instrumental) Interesting fact: Mitchell's live performance of the song was recorded a year before she says she wrote it.

I like Mitchell's slower tempo version much more. And Sara Bareilles's rendition at the Oscars—amazing. Year V

Judy Collins did a good version, butI have to say that Dame Judy Dench hit this one so out of park that it can't be matched IMO.
