Step by step walk the thousand mile road |
If you are in need of a time sink, let me recommend @jacobknowles5421 at YT. He is a fifth generation lobstahman who does YT videos and shorts on the things they encounter hauling traps. Some are funny (the billion year old COTD was a rock). Others he explains the protections in place not only for lobstahs, but other sea life as well. His best are where he rescues a lobstah or other sea life that is distress. Barnacles are a big problem on old lobstahs, and when they are tossing one back, they take the time to remove at least the worst of the growths. He also gives every lobstah returned to the ocean a fish for its trouble. Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." Airsoftguy, June 29, 2018

I've watched way more of his YT shorts than I should have as I to find him amusing for some reason. This message has been edited. Last edited by: M1Garandy,

Not as lean, not as mean, Still a Marine |
He's done a lot to publicize the lobster fishing up here. The craziest part is that he's not that different than many of the other lobstermen up here, he just had the charisma to get it on camera. I was impressed how he put NOAA on blast for their stance on the lobster fishing restriction proposals to "save" the right whales. I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.
