Jim Brown

Did a decent job in The Dirty Dozen. He blew up all the Nazis.

Great running back of course. Lived a full life.

Jim Brown had an amazing combination of power, speed and balance. His average of 104 yards per game for his entire career has never been surpassed. The fact that lacrosse was considered his best sport is a testament to his overall athleticism.

Watched him play football for Syracuse at the now long gone Archibald Stadium. Never saw him play lacrosse where he was also a collegiate all-American. Later watched Ernie Davis and others at SU. Always was sad that Davis died so young as he was also drafted by Cleveland and the notion of a Brown & Davis running attack was mind boggling.

Best player of his day..Also smart enough to quit while healthy. Didn’t agree with his politics but respected him for being civil.
RIP JB

No but grew up in the area. Graduated from LeMoyne with a BS in Industrial-Labor Relations. It was either Cornell or LeMoyne for that.

Considered one of the best if not THE GOAT of running backs.
Interesting on his activism life and apparently with some conservative views.
RIP oh great one.
