I didn't go get popcorn today..... Cool

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

I just saw it. I would say, wait for it on video/streaming.

I was cool with the plot. I didn't like the climax. The violence was almost cartoonish. A lot of the kill scenes used mediocre CGI, like what you see in The Walking Dead. Mid-way through the climax, I thought I was watching a splatterfest torture porn film like Saw.

Rambo is supposed to be an efficient killer. He had all resources and preparation to dispose of the entire crew of bad guys before they even got out of their cars. I understand that he wanted to make the boss bad guy suffer, but still, that should have taken about 1-2 min.

Just read that Stallone would consider yet another installment if this one succeeds (it's done just fine at the box office). I guess that would be Last Blood: Part II?

Also mentioned interest in a John Rambo prequel (with someone else obviously portraying the younger character). What kind of idealistic young man he was, how he changed into the ultimate fighting machine.

I saw it yesterday.

Or perhaps "Last Blood: All the Way to Asystole".

I thought it was okay. I liked Rambo 4 way more. It's pretty trite. There's not a lot of story there. It felt like one of those post-credit "oh, just one more thing" scenes that show up after a superhero movie has ended, except stretched to a full-length movie. As such, it was decent for a $5.00 discount Tuesday, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

I saw it today. It was mindless adult entertainment. Worth the watch I guess. And it didn’t make any damn sense.

A cartel full of people going after perhaps the most skilled American soldier in history and his weapon of choice? A lever action and a double barrel shotgun. And no body armor or scary “assault weapons.” Good ole John Rambo is too woke to carry an effective weapons platform. Would rather load two, shoot two, and run like that Home Alone kid through some skillfully set up traps.

The plot of Taken, the gratuitous torture & gore of Saw, the home defense strategy of Home Alone - put them in a blender and you get Last Blood.

This was awful. Bad story, acting, name it. My advice do not waste your time, at all. This wasn't even a b film.

A usual disclaimer for me that I did not read all the posts. But exactly what was everyone expecting? A Hallmark movie? Has anyone watched the Expendables? Not a great movie but pretty much what I expected.

Finally watched it last night with the wife, I went in with very low expectations.

We enjoyed it very much. Typical Stallone revenge movie, with explosions and all of the bad guys die. I even exclaimed " Holy Shit! Rambo doesn't play" when he yanked out the bad guys collar bone.

We are both children of crappy 80's action flicks
