Never saw this version before. Mirage tour 1982. Guess their anger/hate/drama was still sort of fresh.

Sure made for some great performances.

Using a chord progression from an earlier Christine McVie song titled "Keep Me There," Buckingham recycled an intro part he and Nicks had used on their 1973 song "Lola (My Love)." Fleetwood and John McVie worked out the song's ending segment, while Nicks wrote new verses. The track was then literally spliced together using razor blades to cut the tapes. It's fitting then that "The Chain," a song about allegedly unbreakable ties, is the only song on Rumours to include writing credits for all five band members. Rumors Deluxe has Keep me there on it.
Buckingham was amazing on this version, it took 2 guys to replace him when the band kicked him out, not sure successfully.

I saw them on this tour in Worcester Mass. One of my 1st concerts was Fleetwood Mac at MSG in Uniondale NY in 1976 I think.
Good description of the song creation process.

I've listened to a few songs done by Christine McVie recently, like Songbird, and had forgotten how great a voice she had.
An under-appreciated member of the band in my opinion.
