Interesting that this is the same line uttered by Humphery Bogart at the end of The Maltese Falcon. A metaphor for something that is totally worthless that so many had high hopes for.

Considering that the Maltese Falcon was made in 1941, and Big Jake some 30 years later, isn’t it possible that Hollywood writers would steal a great line? Roll Eyes

Missed the symbolism I see. Maltese Falcon was found to be worthless as was the contents of the trunk in Big Jake Roll Eyes
