I've lost count of them this year; Gary, Jimmy, Tina, Raquel, several more. Posted a Ronettes video yesterday on another thread, started me thinking about Ronnie. Only two IIRC were of a ripe old age. 78-80-82, that's not all that old.

Bummer, another great musician gone. I saw him three times back in the 70s.

It sounds like he was one of those musicians much like Daniel Lanois who never really had a lot of big hits themselves but played on and with many other bands that were really big. I read that Gary Wright played all keyboard for George Harrison's All Things Must Pass album.

According to his Wikipedia entry, he had quite a large body of work. As someone who can't even think up the first word of a song, let alone play it on anything, I am very impressed, and a little envious.
Have you ever thought of a song and had it get stuck in your head? This has from time to time.

RIP but oh how I hate Dreamweaver. Luckily he was much more than that over-played song.

^^^ Love is Alive is a great song! Dreamweaver, lost it being way over-played.
Rest in peace, Gary Wright.

I was commissioned in the fall of '75 and this song (and the album) were my constant companion in my stateroom aboard ship. Loved the Dreamweaver song!
Dream Weaver Lyrics [Instrumental Intro]
[Verse 1] I've just closed my eyes again Climbed aboard the Dream Weaver train Driver, take away my worries of today And leave tomorrow behind
[Chorus] Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe we can reach the morning light
[Verse 2] Fly me high through the starry skies Or maybe to an astral plane Cross the highways of fantasy Help me to forget today's pain
[Chorus] Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe we can reach the morning light
[Verse 3] Though the dawn may be coming soon There still may be some time Fly me away to the bright side of the moon And meet me on the other side
[Chorus] Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe we can reach the morning light
[Outro] Dream Weaver Dream Weaver
