USS Odyssey from Stargate. That thing could cross the galactic void between the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies in 20-days. The sheer number of systems you could explore with that ship is insane.

I would ride the waves of cosmic energy on a surfboard like the Silver Surfer and I'd look super cool to everyone I passed. No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain

Fantastic thread idea!! I’d choose the SDF-1. Mostly because I want my own personal Veritech VF-1S to fly around, and that by itself would be impractical for interstellar travel. "SUCCESS only comes before WORK in the dictionary"

Oh, that's a good one. You can keep Odyssey; I'll take Daedalus. Asgard weapons, beaming technology, FTL drive, with English labels (bonus points for being operated by the present-day Air Force) and cool fighters. I've always been partial to the Akira-class from Star Trek. LOTS o' photon torpedoes, massive shuttle bays (often described as a 'space carrier'), and just cool looks. Gay Deceiver. Any universe you want to travel to (well only 1.0314425e+28) of them. -.---.----.. -.---.----.. -.---.----.. It seems to me that any law that is not enforced and can't be enforced weakens all other laws.

I have always liked the look of the Akira-class as well.

Enterprise, specifically the -D or -E. Powerful, yet comfortable. See the universe, and enjoy the holodecks in-between stops.

Firefly class. Cuz I love old school. "Love. Can know all the math in the 'verse but take a boat in the air that you don't love? She'll shake you off just as sure as a turn in the worlds. Well, at least one person wants the Galactica. She IS a cool ship. Rugged (takes direct hits by nukes and suffers only mild damage), with FTL, large numbers of fighters, good weapons. I just wouldn't want to live in that universe. . . Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher

I voted SDF-1, but I'd rather settle for the Macross Frontier “The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it.”—H.L. Mencken

Except lone X-Wing fighters assisted by the Millennium Falcon. Those beat the Death Star. Twice.

I'm thinking the phone booth from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. It's small but the time travel thing seems to make the trips pretty short. Icarus flew too close to the sun, but at least he flew.

I voted "other" and would pick the Avalon from Passengers, assuming they got the whole hibernation issue fixed. ____________________________________________________ ‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Puddle Jumper. Travels through stargates, travels through time, will reach the bottom of the ocean and has cloaking capability. On top of all that, you control it with your mind.

I'll take a star destroyer thanks. Plenty of fire power and has shuttles and fighters on standby.
