A prank or for real?

The novels Longmire is a big guy, like the novels Reacher. Cruise, not so much.

I'd watch it on streaming but wouldn't ever pay for it.

gotta be one of those click bait type posts,

generate a new character in a old show, get the fans stirred up to click see,

probably no different than the several I seem to see each week about the next James Bond

semi related, wife and I were strolling thru Amazon Prime and Netflix looking at the new offering and noticed yet another version of War of the Worlds (movie this time, not a series )

and some other 70's or 80's show (don't recall the title) that was redone as well, recently,

Robert Taylor was a good fit, IMO.

Been a while since I watched it, but enjoyed it. Very different to Bosch, which I'd watched not long before Longmire.

I thought this WOTW version was atrocious. I only made it a 1/3 of the way through before calling it quits.

I am a big fan of the Longmire books and enjoy the tv show.

A came across an article in Cowboys and Indians magazine that addresses the who, what and why in regards to the size and height of Longmire and Henry Standing Bear in the book and on the big screen.

Johnson: Well, back when I was doing research for the first books, one of the things I discovered doing ride-alongs in Montana and Wyoming with a lot of sheriffs up here was that the guys that tend to do the job tend to be really big guys. Because when you’ve got counties as big as New England states, you don’t really have a lot of backup. So you’re pretty much on your own. And so larger guys tend to gravitate into those roles. So, in the books, Walt’s about six-foot-five and weighs 255 pounds. Henry’s maybe an inch shorter at about six-foot-four, or almost six-foot-five — and probably in a little bit better shape, so maybe about 220 or something like that. And so Lou’s a little bit smaller than the Henry of the books would be.

Vick in the books wasn't blonde. Just never could get over Lou Diamond Phillips as Henry. Just had to ignore it and enjoy the series which was good.

I never read any of the books (still might, though) but I liked the show a lot. As far as Tom Cruise is concerned, I wish he would just hurry up and retire.
