An AppleTV show that’s rated very highly. We are about 5 episodes in and struggling. Does it pickup the pace along the way? The setup is some people separate their brain in a way that they have no recollection of work outside of it and vice versa. The person’s work self basically feels like they are working 24/7.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and while it takes several episodes to start providing hints and answers so you can start wrapping your head around what's going on (while also raising many more questions), I didn't feel like it was dragging at any point. It's definitely a slow burn, not an "edge of your seat action thrill ride", but that's not a bad thing.

I have tried to stop watching it and my wife wont let me. How do they not think that having a 'self' that is perpetually at work would not lead to insanity? Anyway, I just want to know what they are making This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson

Who says they don't know, or that this isn't their intent? Depending on how far you've gotten into the season, it should be/will become apparent that they have little regard for their workers' well-being, and have an unknown (so far) but clearly insidious motive. I just hope the series doesn't get cancelled before they're done and we're left hanging as to what's really going on, or that they don't end up like Lost/etc. (all build-up and no payoff).

I watched it off and on. If you are not into futuristic things this series will not sit well with you. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

I'd rather have luck than skill any day |
I started it, couldn't even finish the first episode. It really goes against the grain to produce something that doesn't get the users attention early on. Perhaps it had some redeeming qualities. It didn't make the cut for me.

It does get better… Watch it for what it is, not for what you want it to be. _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money. - Margaret Thatcher Spread my work ethic, not my wealth

We have two episodes left. I talked her into letting us put them off till the weekend. Frickin A I have a hard time going to sleep. I think the clue to the true purpose of Lumos is in the senators wife and being severed from her pregnancy. what would we pay if we could completely cut out the most dreadful part of life? Even if we have to go through it. Personally, the show may lead to a Matrix style revelation, we must have both the good and the pain. It is the only way to be human.
