As a lover of all things David Gilmour and believing that he is a musical genius and one of (if not the) greatest guitarist ever, it pains me to say that I thought this was awful. At times it sounds like a not very good high school garage band practice session. For his (probably) last album, I was really hoping for something incredible. This wasn't that, by any stretch.

I had to listen to Division Bell afterwards to get that noise out of my head.

YMMV.

Still haven’t found the time to listen to it. Busy trying to find any excuse or explanation for Roger Waters DSOTM Redux.

Share the sadness of thinking of these as their final albums and having to go backwards to find their magic.

Personally, I didn't think we were going to get anything else from David given his age. I urge you to give it some more play time.

For my part, I really like the new album and find myself with a couple of tracks stuck in my head.

I really hope (but doubt) that he tours NA again.

He's playing LA and NYC next month.

Listened to it a couple three times on my Hi Res Streaming (Qobuz) and do enjoy it and the obvious Pink Floyd sound.
