Staring back

I don't know if this will work or not because there are 100 different ways to play any song, but I thought it might be fun to try.

I was sitting around yesterday with my guitar in my lap just lazily strumming strings and I kind of slowly strummed an Am, and thought, "that sounded really familiar". So, I did it again only this time I started out with a low E base, paused briefly, finished the strum, and went down up.

It took me a little bit, but I remembered the song.

Can you name that tune in one note?

(Hint: Released in 1973 by a very popular band)

More clues to follow....

Yeah, that's kind of what I had in mind.

If nothing else, it'll get folks to pick up their guitars and play a little like they know they should but rarely do. Wink Big Grin

And Yellowjacket, we might have to ban you from the game. Big Grin

Same chord, Am, played in the 5th position as a slow arpeggio against a descending chromatic bassline.

Released in 1971 by a very popular band.
