Over looked but Mark Knophler is right up their with Clampton as a pure guitarist. His little tutorial...

I'm not sure Mark Knopfler is either overlooked or underrated. Those aren't terms that really apply to the man.

Now Clampton... he might be both. Big Grin

Knopfler is a true genius in playing, writing and composing.

I can (and do) listen to his music everyday!

It's a shame he has stopped touring......

To the best of my knowledge, Les Paul played shows right up to his death, but the road is a whole other story. That lifestyle takes a toll, no matter what your job is.

How many like me, know every note to Sultans of Swing ? As an aside, I love these online ad traps like "100 Best Guitarists of All Time". Invariably, they list Chuck Berry in the top ten, and people like Chet Atkins or Les Paul, 56th. What a joke !
