Now this could have been two movies but I’m not sure. First, there were these fleshy, veiny, flappy flying disc creatures that would fly onto people’s heads and then wrap around their head and either suck out their brain or maybe take control of them. I believe it would make the victim’s eyes glow. It was Black and white so they just turned the Iris white. Next, I think it wasn’t the same movie but it could have been a second one played directly after. At the end the guy that you thought would make it was driving away but when he looked into the camera his eyes were glowing with the white irises.

The titular creature in It Conquered the World (1956) is supposed to have sent out bat-like creatures to take over peoples' minds in this fashion.

I am not sure about your movie but I remember one in the early 60s that had a creature that would float down over a persons head and when it left the head was gone. Scared the shit out of me, I was just a little kid. "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock "If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley

I do remember that one but I don’t think it’s the one I’m thinking of.

Maybe 'Fiend Without a Face'? "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, pilot and author, lost on mission, July 1944, Med Theatre.
