A teetotaling beer aficionado |
I've had Disney+ for some time at a reduce price from my phone carrier. That's at an end and they now want a sign up for monthly cash. The only thing my wife and I liked was "The Morning Show. I kinda like The Mandalorian but can live without it. What are you folks watching that might compel me to sign up at increase cost? No kids to entertain. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

Orville is on Disney+ now. As are the more mature (formerly Netflix) Marvel shows like Daredevil and Punisher. Besides some of the Star Wars stuff (Mandalorian, Andor, etc.), and some of the included National Geographic documentaries, those are about the only other "non-kid" things I can think of on Disney+. If you don't have kids, and aren't a big Star Wars and/or Marvel fan, then paying full price for Disney+ is a hard sell.

Yeah, that M14 video guy... |
I dropped Disney - a few months back. They're flat out groomers and Marxists. Don't give them your money! They killed Willow too... More trans... That's all I got to say about that. Tony. If you have not made it through all the old Classics I think it is worth hanging onto. Adventures of Skip and Marty Bedknobs and Broom Sticks Pete’s Dragon Flight of the Navigator Swiss Family Robinson The list goes on. If it had one of those stupid warnings at the beginning you know it is going to be good. I am enjoying The Secrets of Sulphur Springs. It is one of their newer shows. Sadly one has to wade through a lot of crap but there is still some good stuff there. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Nullus Anxietas |
It was when Disney started their own streaming service and pulled their content from Netflix I said "Homey ain't playin' dat game" and made up my mind it'd be a cold day in hell before we'd go down the rabbit of signing up for streaming service-after-streaming service, and that started with refusing to add Disney+, regardless of what content they offer. I sign up for it once a year, for one month only, to rip off all the Star Wars shit. Marvel bullshit has deteriorated so much I watch those movies when they hit one of the movie channels. Straight garbage. But the SW content doesn’t trickle down. That’s how you should do it. Sign up for a month, pick whatever month of the year. Watch whatever Disney content, and be done with it for another year. That Andor deal came out and people were somewhat + about it but it appears the new Mando season is shit so I’ll wait until that is done, sign up, watch both, and cancel it. Some part of me still wants to believe there is some kind of, some little piece, of decent SW material in there bullshit that I want to see. But D is on life support over here. I detest the company and I won’t get started on that c**t Kennedy. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Go Vols! |
Sounds like a good time for a break and circle back for a month later. A lot of times when I unsub from a service I enter price as the reason and get some crazy good deal.

Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle |
My wife and I have watched Andor and are now going through The Clone Wars. We are really enjoying it. This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson
