My wife finally got the groove with me on this Prime Video series, l'Art du Crime - The Art of Crime. A young woman French art historian becomes a collaborator with a French policeman who knows nothing of art, but together in this "odd couple" partnership they solve murders and crimes of art theft. Production quality, writing, acting, plot --all top notch. I watch the versions with English subtitles to try to resurrect my French language knowledge from 50 years ago. Looks like there is a version that's dubbed. It's got humor, of course sexual tension between the two; convoluted plots that somehow don't seem contrived. Oh yes, there's the appearance each episode of the painter whose painting is the focus of the episode; dressed in period costume and seen and heard only by the heroine, Florence. I'm going to pass on a strong recommendation to my daughter-in-law, who was an art history minor in college and went to France to study the impressionists. In our opinion, the writing in this is much better than in British or American murder mysteries.This message has been edited. Yep, it's pretty good show. Highly recommend taking a look at the https://mhzchoice.com streaming service. They have alot of european crime/mystery/drama TV series and the Art Of Crime is included! Definitely worth the subscription!

Don’t have Amazon Prime ATM but wife and I enjoyed Bright Minds. French police woman and female autistic police archivist solving crimes. PSA: we stopped watching from the middle of season six for two reasons: 1. Ludicrous plots facing to do with vampires and mediums and seances 2. Rom-com became slapstick with increasingly out of character behavior by Florence especially. I had read something similar in online critiques but can confirm it got unwatchable for us. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!" | |||

Yes, she is. My money says she’s not a real blonde but she ain’t autistic either so excellent job portraing both things  She’s both smart and charming. Glad my advise was useful. We watched two other odd couple female detective shows. One was in the french caribean, never got off the ground for us. The other we discovered before the one with the autistic blonde. It was entertaining enough until they started replacing the cast for no good reason. Candice Renoir, maybe. Diwn here tv shows and movie titles get changed criminally until the original becomes untraceable. Fox example “where’s the pilot?” is thelocal name for “Airplane’.
