Music like this doesn't happen by accident, it takes a unique talent. Once heard, it cannot be unheard. Link to original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDiNZnoKJrU Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.

I wonder why I never heard of him? His talent is wasted. Definitely needs put into Christmas rotation.

Boyce Hawkins was a TV weatherman in Nashville in the 60s and 70s before moving into radio in the 80s. I remember him sometimes playing little ditties on the piano during his forecast. I was thinking this might have been done for charity but according to his obituary, he actually made his living playing the piano in his early days before getting into TV. I wonder if that explains why he got into TV? *** "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam (I will either find a way or make one)." -- Hannibal Barca

Good to know, StarTraveler, thanks. Hawkins reminds me of Foster Brooks. Anyone can pretend to be drunk, anyone can play bad piano. Brooks and Hawkins bring their fits and starts, omissions and additions, lapses in memory and proud flourishes, both trying so hard and failing with such genius. Give Hawkins a chance, guys, he's hilarious. Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.
