Resurrecting this thread... I had an opportunity to acquire the first season and am currently on episode six. It is definitely not filmed with the same intentions as all previous Star Trek series before it. I definitely feel the virtue signaling in every episode. It doesn't take an objective look at society. One of the biggest issues I have that many don't focus upon is that the Discovery is such a powerful fighting vessel when compared to the Klingons' ships. How a race of warriors can be repeatedly bested by a ship of exploration crewed by scientists is beyond me. I'm done with this show. I'm just so done with the SJW/Leftist/Progressive twist on EVERYTHING in EVERY show...this one included. Can't even watch commercials without there being some SJW/Leftist/Progressive agenda thrown in. Resurrecting thread again - the first season is now on CBS broadcast. 2nd episode was on tonight. Will watch a bit longer to see what happens. | |||
