A Navy veteran friend of mine started playing drums for the band Silence and Light recently. The founders are also veterans and they take no profits from record sales instead passing the profits along to one of two funds to support veterans and first responders. Founding member Brad Thomas has a pretty neat story being a Ranger who’s first combat experience came in Somalia in the Battle of Mogadishu (Blackhawk Down). He later served in Delta.
