I am sure many of you know of this site; some may have even used it to buy or sell. I have never bought or sold, but have been a fan and occasional visitor for over ten years. It started as more of a for-sale heads-up site, where enthusiasts could share and discuss listings found elsewhere. The site grew, and now hosts it's own auctions. It is a friggen awesome site, for auto enthusiasts, and plays host to some motorcycles as well. If you like cars, and you haven't been to the site, check it out; you'll very likely appreciate it. Hell, it's likely been mentioned on the forum before; I didn't think to do a search before writing this.

It has been mentioned here before at least in passing and yes it is a great site for buying and selling, especially more unique cars. I bought a Triumph TR 6 through Bring A Trailer about 2-3 years ago and a good friend sold a race replica tribute car there that he built from the frame up. I also just window shop occasionally because there are so many cool cars, most with some videos, to look at.

My first stop after a lotto win for sure.

A couple years back a member was in an active bidding war for a vehicle on bringatrailer a number of us were on here as the bidding war was going on.
Unfortunately whoever the member was bidding against had quite the budget and the member did not win.

I have a terrible memory and can’t remember the member or the vehicle.

You might be remembering my bidding war for a 1986 Toyota Celica Supra.

Every time a bid gets placed they extend the auction for another minute. That was quite the entertaining afternoon even though I ended up not getting the car.

BAT is now the largest vehicle website on the planet and because of that prices for sold vehicles will be at the top of the market. Good for a seller but not as good for a buyer.

Once they started selling million plus cars their popularity really took off. I check into it daily!

If you’re in the market to buy a vehicle, particularly Porsche’s and other European brands then check out www.pcarmarket.com. On higher end Porsches they typically go for about $10k less than if they were to be sold on BAT. I bought my Spyder through them as I was looking on both sites and it was seamless.
