You know it started in the garden when we walked way from Gods plan. We gave away dominion, placed it in the devils hands and Jesus took it back. Now we gain it all because He died. Name of names, God of gods, Jesus crucified!
Sleeping Giant - Defiance

I think that when those dark voices start calling our name in the back of our head we need to remind those voices who we belong to!

I often feel like I'm living his life during the first half of the movie, before he begins randomly killing people.

I felt like that guy every day for quite a while. I was spending 45 minutes each way during peak rush hour every day commuting from suburbia to downtown Tacoma to carefully dodge crazy junkies, and the needles and piss and shit they scattered all around the place and wondering why nobody seemed to notice or care. So I stopped, and now I don't feel like that guy anymore.

Up to a certain point, he's the sanest person in the film. Big cities... I dunno.

Yep.

I performed a monolog in high school of his scene in the back of the pawn shop after he killed the neo Nazi guy and was on the phone with his wife.

What? He was only directly responsible for one death (the Nazi in the surplus store), and that was in self-defense. The gang members crashing their car trying to shoot him was entirely on them. The golf course incident is kind of a gray area. He did sort of provoke the golfer's heart attack, but IIRC that guy was not explicitly shown to have died.
