I've always heard great things about the book Starship Troopers, aside from the movie version.

I've been watching the price and one of my sources that I subscribe to linked a great deal.
$1.99 https://booklaser.com/2017/11/...l-starship-troopers/

I hear the book is a bit different than movie. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, just a bit. A line or two. You have to really pay attention to notice....

I picked up DUNE also. Going from movie to book is not my preferred way to do it but I think I have some good reading ahead of me.

Dune is my favorite Sci Fi, and perhaps my favorite novel overall, of all time. I read it once a year or so. I don't like any of the other novels in the series anywhere near as much, so I pretend they don't exist. Dune is too dense for a 2 or even three hour movie. I really wish that HBO would buy the rights and give it the Game of Thrones treatment.

a line or two is about ALL that survived the movie.

No worries. Other than the titles and some character names, the movies bear very little resemblance to the novels. I envy you being able read them for the first time.

ST is the same price as on Amazon.

I read all 6 of the Dune books and wow. I would really recommend you only read the first 2, maybe 3 and only if you get them free. so strange.

I got a copy too. As someone else mentioned, I recently was able to get Dune as well.
