Christmas songs?
I favor the old school carols and hymns, performed by choral groups, orchestras, etc. (though I'm a fan of "Christmas Wrapping"). One favorite tune from my childhood was this instrumental. I was five when it was released, and can recall seeing the LP cover featured in the Sears Christmas Wish Book for several years.

And choral groups, like these folks:

Definitely not a classic, but funny!

I was recently thinking about this. I was thinking the last original song was All I want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey in 1994. Then there's Winter Wonderland by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett along with "Baby it's cold outside" but that's just a new rendition.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

A great song from my favorite female artist and a beautiful video to go along with it.

It is nice, isn’t it. We went to a dance recital Saturday with two of our granddaughters. One group of advanced dancers used River for their performance .

I forgot a couple:

Dolly Parton doesn't consider this a Christmas song, but I've always counted it.

I always liked this version better than the original Coldplay release.

Sometimes you need a cool Frosty Blues song for Christmas

I never hear John Williams's track from Home Alone 2 get played on the radio or in stores.

The band I've seen the most times live is Saint Etienne. They just put out their final album in September. This track is from '94.

It’s hard to beat Merle. This is a nice one, I think.

Had never heard this one until finding it on YouTube in a collection of K-Mart holiday music a few years ago. Also, from '63.

Merry Christmas All!!

I found a rendition of O Holy Night by Jewel. Voice of an angel, she has. Almost got dust in my eyes.

This to me is christmas music. Beautiful voice singing about the spiritual aspects of christmas. Not santa bringing presents or kissing mommy and such.

If you like contemporary Christian Christmas music I highly recommend this concert - recorded last year.

I've always been partial to Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses. I met (and fell madly in love with) Patty Donohue in 1984. She left us way too soon.

I really like this version of Mr. Grinch:
