A 3-part documentary on Netflix, is riveting. I’ve watched the first two episodes of the documentary and Super 6-4 has been shot down, and after delayed approval from Command, Shugart and Gordon have been inserted to cover the crash site. They interviewed several Rangers from Company B, 3rd Ranger Battalion, a Delta vet who was with the Rangers, later in an entirely defensive posture in an occupied Somali house. What makes the documentary compelling though are quite a few Somalis interviewed about that October day as well: women, a cameraman, and a couple of Aidid’s militiamen. As well done as the movie, Black Hawk Down was, this documentary may well surpass it. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Very well done - watched the first two episodes last night. Tom Satterly had a really good interview on the Shawn Ryan Show (last year, I believe). Brad Thomas was a Ranger at the time and then went to Delta for about 10 years. He formed the band Silence and Light a few years ago. Made up veterans and they are one of my favorites.

It defies logic that we only lost 18 guys. God bless Shughart and Gordon and all of the other men. The doc is good. The only thing I wish there was more of was city plans showing movements of the troops. There was some of that but I wish there was more in battle docs. Also, interviews of somali combatants is interesting but kinda difficult to watch. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

Watched 1.5 episodes and walked away. Too many subtitles and "made for TV" scenes. I don't think it was giving enough credit to the brave men in the battle. My $0.02
