Just watched this on Netflix. Deals with the lives of several people across several lifetimes. Good sci-fi. Made in 2012...can’t figure out how I haven’t heard of it before. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. Heinlein “You may beat me, but you will never win.” sigmonkey-2020 “A single round of buckshot to the torso almost always results in an immediate change of behavior.” Chris Baker

Peace through superior firepower |
Utter PC crap. It shits on Christianity, on white people, on the American south, you name it. Made by a couple of mentally ill freaks who think they can change their sex. Unredeemable garbage

I can't agree more. I had to turn it off. It is amazing how many movies/shows are doing this on a constant basis-Good is now Bad and Bad is Good.

I did not think it was good at all. I had high hopes too because when the Wachowskis were dudes, they were making good stuff like Bound, the first Matrix film, and V for Vendetta. Since V it’s not been good. And they are filming Matrix 4 right now. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

I liked it. Of course, I rarely look at a movie for deeper meaning past the story and A/V, but YMMV. _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

The movie was a real abortion. The book, by David Mitchell, has better cohesion and the interwoven storylines are better developed. The movie banked on the star power of Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Keith David and others. I enjoyed the book. The movie not so much. You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless. NRA Benefactor/Patriot Member

Back, and to the left |
Yes, it was garbage. My wife and I saw it at the theater. She chose it at random. It was so freaking long. We kept expecting it to somehow redeem itself. It was late when we left and were driving home. We both were like, WTF did we just see?. We could agree that whatever it was, we wanted no more of it.
