I really like him and his vids. There's plenty of them available on YouTube; here's a sample: Link to original video: https://youtu.be/BlTCkNkfmRY A word to the wise: If you're trying to loose weight, DO NOT watch this shit late at night on a big-assed TV. Any chef who post awesome food vids that incorporate the sound of a bong in the commentary - three thumbs up. <>< America, Land of the Free - because of the Brave

Did you come from behind that rock, or from under it? |
My wife watches his videos regularly so I overhear them often. He can be quite funny at times, especially when he talks about anyone who would deign to use canned Parmesan cheese. And he does like his cayenne pepper. Chef John has a great personality and is fun to listen to, he's the polar opposite of the egomaniacs on most TV cooking shows. Time for the old shake-a, shake-a! I have several of his recipes from Allrecipes.com I find his videos educational and entertaining. ETA: I think this has to be one of the first, very basic, easy and rewarding recipes I made of his. Or, this very basic chicken and mushroom.

Help! Help! I'm being repressed! |
I've come across his videos before and they are good, but I can't stand his speaking cadence.

Delusions of Adequacy |
I taught myself how to bake bread in the pre Internet, no Youtube days. Boy, folks these days have it easy. He does a good job with showing the basics. I have my own style of humor. I call it Snarkasm.
