A few days into it, but February 1st began TCM’s 31 Days of Oscar. I actually didn’t realize it until I sat down to watch “The Maltese Falcon” and heard the “31 Days” lead-in. I also grabbed “The Adventures of Robin Hood” on Sunday because I like watching and hearing Errol Flynn’s hands on hips, head thrown back laugh—and, I wanted to see Olivia de Havilland riding Trigger (then known as Golden Cloud). All that to say, probably worth it for you to check out their website or scan the tv programming guide for movies that might interest you. _______________________________________________________ despite them

Here’s the website that lists each day’s movies in a print-style format. http://www.tcm.com/schedule/mo...=subnavmonthschedule Starting February 1, 2020 TCM’s annual 31 Days of Oscar programming returns for its 25th year, kicking off on February 1 with a month-long showcase celebrating 360 Degrees of Oscar. Each of the featured films recognized by the Academy is connected to the following film by an actor or actress starring in both pictures, allowing for a span of movies across genres and generations. The final film on March 2 completes the circle. Try to guess the connections all month and watch the Oscars on February 9 at 8pm ET. --------------------- DJT-45/47 MAGA !!!!! Man Thanks for this post. I have been a fan of "The Adventures of Robin Hood" since I saw it at a Saturday kids matinee when I was nine or ten. Robin swinging onto the tree branch as they rob the tax money caravan; "Welcome to Sherwood my Lady". Or the end scene with Olivia De Haviland, As they leave the castle arm in arm. Great stuff.

Had an opportunity to watch The Adventures of Robin Hood this afternoon; it had been a long time. Thoroughly enjoyable, for sure. BTW, “Trigger” was just 4 years old when Olivia de Havilland rode him in this movie. I found out that he remained a stallion throughout his life and that he lived until 1965. The wiki page on Trigger is pretty interesting. It said the horse learned 150 cues and that Rogers’ “most closely guarded trade secret” was to housebreak Trigger; handy for a horse that spent so much time in hotels, theatres and hospitals. _______________________________________________________ despite them
