Great book. Is this the John Boy Walton version or the 1930 film?

Followed by other great books by Remarque. I particularly liked "Arch of Triumph".

I am not a movie connoisseur, but this is a film where there remake was as good as the original in my opinion.

Love the book and the sequel. Love the first movie and felt the remake was good.

I thought the remake was bad. I watched them in an almost marathon fashion, starting the remake only a couple days after the original. Didn't finish the remake; didn't even make it halfway.
