Marin Marais is by far my favorite composer. I'm listening to his music as I type this.

I'm not sure what it is about his music, but I find it utterly intoxicating. I can listen to it for hours on end. I think it was about 15 years ago (after listing to way too much Brahms) that I discovered Marais.

It's interesting to think about how music written 350 years ago could be so impactful on people today.
