Peter Jackson (a fantastic movie director- Lord of the Rings) has long been working on a Beatles documentary. He’s about 1/2 done and he dropped this footage today.

This Rolling Stones article does a pretty good job of summing up the video.

I don’t ever remember seeing Paul wearing a black beard before!

Thank you for the info. Paul sported the beard on and off during that time period and the crossover to his solo days.

Paul had the beard for the rooftop concert.

Cool to see Billy Preston on the keys and even a good shot or two of Linda.

Can't wait to watch it. The Beatles are a huge part of the soundtrack of my life even though they broke up a dozen years before I was born. My dad is a Beatle-maniac and I grew up listening to them constantly. I still listen to a good bit and am constantly amazed by the songs, the production, and the musicianship. Just seeing that mashes my heart hurt a little bit. That, plus my Dad is pretty low with cancer right now and I'm honestly not sure he'll even get to see this film at this point.

I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

He said they have about 56 hours of footage. I would watch every minute of that if they released it.

Can't believe how high quality the video is. I really enjoy seeing them play each other's instruments: George on drums, Ringo on the Hofner bass, John playing George's acoustic.

I hope they release the entire rooftop concert.

Maybe we'll see the John/George fistfight.

¨Get Back¨ was the original title of the album later released and known as Let it Be. Released as the last Beatles album, it is in fact the one before last, followed by Abbey Road.

Due to the mess that the band had became, it was delayed for a year and renamed.

The album was planned to come with a Get Back companion book that had already been printed.
A limited run of it was released, with the Get Back title on it, to the public (1000 prints) in the mid 80s. Owned a couple of them back then.
