is circumspective |
I agree the writing was well done & rife with snappy repartee. The characters were so well formed as to nearly be a caricature of themselves in many cases, though very entertaining. That being said, I feel it got a little thin in the later seasons. @ Para - give it a go. You'll know within a few episodes if it's for you. I'm of the belief you gotta go beyond the first episode, which sets up as a stand-alone pilot (IMO) but establishes the premise for the rest of the series. Sorry for the thread drift. Be prepared for loud noise and recoil |
I'm a fan of Justified, but it can't hold a candle to Deadwood. In fact, I'm not sure what T.V. series can. “Crisis is the rallying cry of the tyrant.” – James Madison "Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others." - Robert Louis Stevenson

A bit off topic but clicked in because I saw Harlan County. My mother’s line comes from that area and her uncle, who died fighting in WWII near Bastogne, was named Harlan. I also spent a week about the now defunct USS Harlan County.
