I’ve never seen this movie, but always wanted to. Is it worth watching?

It's been a long time since I've seen it but IIRC, it was a good movie.

A classic of my youth. Quite respectfully done as I remember.

Not often seen, but here are two James Mason movies well worth your time:
Odd Man Out. About the IRA.
5 Fingers. WWII Espionage.

Everyone knows about the tactical adversarial relationship between
Rommel and Patton. A true story...Irwin Rommel had a son, Manfred Rommel. General George S. Patton Jr had a son who became a Major General George S Patton IV. In 1978 MG Patton was the Deputy Corps Commander of the VII Corps based in Stuttgart West Germany. His second hat was as the US Military Community Commander of the American military in Stuttgart. The leader of the German city of Stuttgart was...Lord Mayor Manfred Rommel. They were very close friends and often shared family Christmas dinners together.

Manfred Rommel and George S Patton IV also shared the same birthday, December 24.

These are my rememberings from serving on the staff with Patton in VII Corps headquarters and having met Mayor Rommel at a Fasching party in Stuttgart hosted by Rommel and Patton.

To be fair, it’s not a conventional action war movie. There is little movie-made combat action, except for the beginning. Most of the combat shown is short clips from the war. Much of the film is about Rommel’s involvement in the plot to kill Hitler

Though in a supporting role, was excellent in Cross of Iron
