Triggers don't pull themselves |
Granted, everything good seems to remade, but I think I’ll watch this one for the soundtrack alone. More of the original comic book characters added as well.

probably a good thing I don't have a cut |
I've been disappointed too often at the movies the last 7 or 8 years to have high hopes for any movie. I haven't watched the trailer and don't feel like it's a must see at this point. If people I trust tell me it's worth watching after it comes out, I'll go see it then.

I swear I had something for this |
Krypto has been around since 1955. He's nothing new.

Nope. Too many characters. Why do these movies have so many characters?

More spin-offs for the franchise?

Yep. They're restarting the DC Movie Universe with this movie.

Fighting the good fight |
Interesting that they're reaching back into the older DC stuff to bring in things like Krypto, Mr. Terrific, and Guy Gardner's Green Lantern.

Purveyor of Fine Avatars |
DC seems to have a hard time understanding that its ensemble movies are absolute failures.
I'm surprised that they'd look past John Stewart in this day and age of black everything characters. Well, to be fair, they already included Mr. Terrific, who is black. And I suspect they went with Gardner specifically for the "flawed antihero" angle, and potentially even to set him up as a villain in a future film.

On the wrong side of the Mobius strip |
I thought this was a reference to the 1967 TV Series named Mr. Terrific. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...Terrific_(TV_series) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061281/

What is the soup du jour? |
I thought the trailer was junk. I hope for the fans left, it's a good film. I think he'll just be making a DC version of Guardians or The Suicide Squad, which, while alright movies, didn't represent the comic characters that well at all. Gunn doesn't really make superhero movies. He makes movies, and then just slaps on character skins. I don't appreciate when existing characters that have long lineages, get reimagined to fit the director's stories. It worked with guardians and the suicide squad, because no one knew who the heck they were. Doing that with established heroes/characters is not to my liking. Lastly, including 50 characters in a Superman movie when I want to see a Superman movie is not the way to do it. IMHO.

Get my pies outta the oven! |
Did you all notice the music is based off of the Christopher Reeve Superman theme? I picked up on that right away
We all know the reason why

You mean how they're actually being comic accurate and it hurts your fee-fees in a teaser trailer that's actually a teaser that doesn't spoil any of the plot?

Indeed. But sucky characters suck, so... When I was younger, I enjoyed comic books. I always thought sucky characters sucked because they, you know, suck. I was content to read story after story involving one good character, because good characters are good. I don't think their foray into more obscure characters is going to pay off they way they think. But, nowadays people are content to marathon-stream garbage.

The bad bowl cut is Guy Gardner's signature look.
