Regrets. Never Saw Them Live
Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana are probably my two biggest regrets.

I had tickets to see Aerosmith and they announced the postponement the show before I got to see them. Then they rescheduled and I got excited again but then they cancelled the tour completely. That was a disappointment.

I could list of dozens of others that I never had a chance to see but those three are bands that I had actual opportunities to see and didn’t.

I am a Tom Petty fan as well and never had the chance. Other bands are Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy and Eric Clapton. Sat in the rain for 3 hours for a Pink Floyd concert at the Orange Bowl in Miami. That was a great concert. Saw Stevie Ray Vaughn about a year before he died, amazing concert.

Huey Lewis. Had tix, had to give them up for a family obligation.

Stopped touring the next year.

I never got to see Iron Maiden.

So last year when they were finishing the tour after Nicko had a stroke. I figured this is it. So I went. By myself to Charlotte and watched them. I sat with some guys and we had a Hella good time. I am so glad I was able to go. What a night.

Prince. Had 2 opportunities, and didn’t push hard enough because I thought there’d be another one. Lesson learned.

I regret seeing Peter, Paul & Mary live at Wolftrap about two decades. Couldn't hear them sing for all the assholes around me singing. I didn't pay to hear some off-key wonker sing next to me, behind me and in front of me.

Sinatra, of course. In the 1980's, I foolishly declined an invitation from my parents to see him in concert.

Definitely Pink Floyd. They played the Carrier Dome in Syracuse while I was a student at SU (1987). Sigh.....

Tool and Nine Inch Nails...and the sucky thing is it is ticket prices that keep me from going.

That happened to me at a Jimmy Buffett concert at the Citizens Bank Park ballpark in Philly about 20 years ago. The acoustics were already bad and then this drunk old lady nearby wouldn't shut the hell up and insisted on very loudly and badly singing over every song. Mad

The pre-concert tailgate party was awesome and the best part of the whole experience.

Led Zepplin. A tour date had been announced for the Pontiac Silverdome and before tickets went on sale, Bonzo passed away. We all know how the rest of that story played out.

Led Zeppelin is the one I regret missing out on. "Get the Led out" scratches that itch now, saw GTLO 7 times and it's amazing. Hope to see them again this year.
Saw Tom Petty's first concert in LA and 5 more times after that. Always a good show.

Saw Jimmy Buffett in the small concert bar I've mentioned before. I believe he was touring Living and Dying in 3/4 Time. At one point he said, "You're really a fun crowd, you deserve to hear this!" He proceded to play, "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw."

I bought the Nevermind album when it was released in Oct 1991 and I liked it very much, but Nirvana was never one of my absolute favorite bands. But that was a great album. There was a New Years Eve show that I was considering- Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining with Nirvana as the middle band and opening was Pearl Jam. I almost bought a pair of general admission tickets, but decided just going to see Nirvana (I don't like Pearl Jam and especially RHCP) wasn't worth the hassle, I decided to spend it with the guys, out celebrating. No regrets.
