A soon to be released documentary series from Netflix, based on the cinema history book by Mark Harris. It details the WW2-era exploits of five legendary directors, the impact of the war on their film-making, and the impact their film-making had on the country both during the war and afterwards.

-Frank Capra
-John Ford
-John Huston
-George Stevens
-William Wyler

Available on Netflix starting March 31st.

In conjunction with this series, Netflix has also secured the rights to 13 famous wartime documentaries shot by these directors and others, including Ford’s "The Battle of Midway", Wyler’s "The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress", Huston’s "Report from the Aleutians", Capra’s "The Battle of Russia", Stevens’ "Nazi Concentration Camps", and Stuart Heisler’s "The Negro Soldier", which will also be available at the same time.

I can't wait.

Now available.

Worth watching if you're a fan of classic films and/or World War 2.
