Always been a fan. They will be performing here this summer, wondering if they can still bring it.

Doubtful now.
I saw them three times in the 80's .
All outside all sucked sound systems were all very poor.

I'd make sure it was an inside venue.
I've given up on seeing anyone over 55.

To much disappointment too many times

I love their music, particularly Pet Sounds. But they are no longer "The Beach Boys". It is basically Mike Love and a bunch of guys. None of the other original members are touring- Brian Wilson and Al Jardine the only surviving Beach Boys other than Love. And sorry to say, at the age of 81, I wouldn't have much of a desire to see Mike Love perform anyways.

Likely agree on The Beach Boys.
But the last 3 shows I have been to were Elton John, TOOL, and Garth Brooks. All above 55 and all outstanding shows.

You do have to be careful but not a hard and fast rule for me.

Charlie Daniels at 83 a few years ago was a treat.
Dave Brubeck was in his seventies and thoroughly enjoyed him.
Steve Winwood at 70 was fantastic.
Plus a few other bands with similar results.
I would be hesitant about the Beach Boys though.

Does 67 count? All of the songs sounded the same and they were hard to hear over the crowd. That was outdoors at the state fair.

I can't imagine seeing the band calling itself the "Beach Boys" now.

Only one Beach Boy is in it.

Saw them a couple months ago and it was great. Mike Love can still bring it. I loved The Beach Boys as a kid and I really, to my surprise, thought it was a good show.

Go for it, you might have a fun evening.
