Okay, since you folks seemed to like Disturbed's cover of the folksy "Sound of Silence" song so well, here's another... The newest single from metal band Unleash The Archers is a cover of Stan Roger's "Northwest Passage" (which I've seen described as "Canada's unofficial national anthem"). It's pretty outstanding, not least because UtA's lead singer, Brittney Hayes, has an amazing set of pipes.
