so this popped up in my feed. Would be curious to hear what you guys think.

What is interesting is that it is 'human guided AI' the people behind it call it Omniproject.
They ask folks to read their FAQ

Now I have seen some really bad AI music and generally I do not like it. But then I saw an actual artist describe how much computers and AI are in everything they do and they asked, where is the line then? I love DeadMau5 and physical EDM but most of it is then polished using software on a computer.
So how much algorithmic help does an artist use before it becomes 'just more AI slop'. This debate has made me think back to the debates over what is porn etc. and the Supreme Court Judge said, "I may not be able to define it, but I know it when I see it"

I am on the University panel for AI policy and I get (literally) yelled at about why we do not just say "no ai, ever" because . . . spell check is AI, grammarly is AI, your email sorting algorithm for Junk mail etc. is AI. So if you just nuke it, the result would be chaos.

So those that will or already have responded, "I hate AI music, art, anything" maybe dont get my meaning here. The line (in my opinion) is getting more and more blurry. And just like the AI policy panel I sit on, it is not a binary or easy fix.

I found myself really liking it.

I brought this up at the end of last year.

I have decide to stay away from the AI generated stuff as much as possible and not just music.

Also a member posted some music by a fella he knows and the album art was clearly AI. I suggested they change it because I would skip over it every time presuming the music would be AI generated as well.

I don't care for the music in the clip, whether generated by AI or created by humans.

I was first exposed to this band by a YouTube short. There was a brief on stage interaction between the banjo player and the bass player then it went into a song. I listened, I wasn't instantly turned off. I thought "cool some new female rockers." I didn't delve into the comments or try to learn anything more about "them."

I was today years old when I learned it was all AI generated images. That leaves me with a somewhat frustrated feeling because I now feel somewhat deceived. Are things to the point now where EVERYONE/EVERYTHING must be analyzed and vetted for authenticity? Should "creators" label their creations before releasing them for public consumption?

I try to be fairly open toward new technology, but I also see the darker potential abuses of the technology.

Here are two YouTube shorts that show the "band:"

edited to add:
This might not work as I don't have an Instagram account. Google "Will Smith person overlay" to find the clip. If the person wasn't in the bottom right corner would you think it was Will Smith?
